의료인공지능학과

이홍주 교수는 2006년 KAIST 경영대학원에서 박사학위를 받았다. 이후 2006년에는 MIT Center for Coordination Science에서 Postdoctoral fellow로 근무하였다. 2011년에는 MIT Center for Collective Intelligence에서 Visiting scholar로 활동하였으며, 2017년부터 2018년까지는 Brunel Business School, Brunel University London에서 International researcher로 지냈다.

이홍주 교수의 주요 연구 분야는 비즈니스 환경에서 지능적 기술의 활용과 소셜 미디어 및 헬스케어 분야에서의 콘텐츠 분석이다. 그의 연구 성과는 Government Information Quarterly, International Journal of Electronic Commerce, Decision Support Systems, Expert Systems with Applications, Expert Systems, Information Systems Frontiers, Journal of Electronic Commerce Research, Technological Forecasting and Social Change 등의 학술지에 다수 게재되었다.

Hong Joo Lee is a Professor of Business Administration, The Catholic University of Korea. He has a Ph.D. from the KAIST Business School (2006) and was with the MIT Center for Coordination Science as a postdoctoral fellow in 2006. He stayed at the MIT Center for Collective Intelligence as a visiting scholar in 2011 and Brunel Business School, Brunel University London as an international researcher in 2017– 2018. His research areas are utilizing intelligent techniques and harnessing collective intelligence in business settings and analyzing the effects of intelligent aids in e-business and healthcare. His papers have been published in Government Information Quarterly, International Journal of Electronic Commerce, Decision Support Systems, Expert Systems with Applications, Expert Systems, Information Systems Frontiers, Journal of Electronic Commerce Research, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, and other journals.

장재연 교수는 2021년 연세대학교에서 산업공학 박사학위를 취득하였으며, 2021년부터 2022년까지 미국 노스웨스턴 대학교 산업공학과에서 박사후 연구원으로 재직하였다. 이 기간 동안 장재연교수는 인텔과 협력하여 다중 에이전트 심층 강화 학습을 사용한 대규모 팹 스케줄러 개발을 목표로 하는 프로젝트에 주도적으로 참여하였다. 2022년에는 가톨릭대학교 데이터 사이언스 학과의 조교수로 임명되었다. 장재연 교수는 현재 산업 데이터 분석, 딥러닝, 머신러닝, 그리고 강화학습 관련 왕성한 연구활동을 진행중에 있으며, 가톨릭대학교 산업인공지능 연구실을 이끌며 학생들과 다양한 연구를 진행중에 있다.

Jaeyeon Jang earned his Ph.D. in industrial engineering from Yonsei University, South Korea, in 2021. From 2021 to 2022, he served as a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences at Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, USA. During this period, he was part of a collaborative project with Intel, aimed at developing a large-scale fab scheduler using multi-agent deep reinforcement learning. In 2022, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Data Science at the Catholic University of Korea. His research currently focuses on industrial data analytics, deep learning, machine learning, and reinforcement learning.

신유진 교수는 인공지능 및 머신러닝 알고리즘을 개발하여 다양한 application에 적용하고 있다. 특히, MRI, EHR 등 의료 도메인의 Image나 tablet데이터를 통해 medical features를 발굴하거나, 딥러닝 모델을 개발하여 질병의 진단 및 예후를 예측하는 연구를 활발히 진행중이다. 그 외, 주로 센서를 통해 수집된 시계열 데이터 가운데 이상치를 탐지하는 연구나 병변가운데 악성을 찾아내는 연구등을 수행중에 있으며, 머신 언러닝 분야에도 새롭게 기여하고 있다. 
SCIE 및 컴퓨터공학분야 Top conference인 KDD, CIKM, WWW 등에 매해 논문을 게재하고 있으며, CIKM의 ANSD국제학회를 의장으로써 개최한 바 있다. 최근에는 대검찰청과 함께 검찰의 업무에 AI적용하는 과제를 수주하는 등 다양한 산업분야에서 AI의 적용방법론을 개발하는데 기여하고 있다.

Professor Youjin Shin is at the forefront of developing artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms, applying them to a wide range of applications. Her research is particularly focused on the medical AI field, where she actively works on discovering critical features from medical data such as MRI images and EHRs, and on developing deep learning models to predict disease diagnosis and prognosis. Additionally, she is heavily involved in research on detecting anomalies in time series data collected through sensors and identifying malignancies in lesions. She is also contributing to the emerging field of machine unlearning.
Professor Shin regularly publishes her work in top-tier conferences such as KDD, CIKM, and WWW, which are among the leading venues in the SCIE and computer engineering fields. She has also served as the chair of the ANSD international conference at CIKM. Recently, she has made significant contributions to the development of AI application methodologies across various industries, including leading a project with the Supreme Prosecutors' Office to apply AI to their work.

강호철 교수는 가톨릭대학교 미디어기술콘텐츠학과 부교수이다. 삼성SDS, LG전자기술원, LG전자MC연구소, SK C&C, 국립 암센터에서 근무를 하였고 서울대학교 전기컴퓨터공학부에서 박사학위를 취득한 후 서울대학교 컴퓨터연구소에서 박사후과정을 지냈다. 고려대학교 세종캠퍼스 전자및정보공학과, 성공회대학교 컴퓨터공학과에서 조교수로 근무하였고 2019년 가톨릭대학교 미디어기술콘텐츠학과에 임용된 후 현재 부교수로 재직 중이다. 연구분야는 3D 컴퓨터비전, 영상처리, 의료영상처리, 머신러닝/딥러닝 등이며  Computer Vision and Machine Intelligence 연구실을 운영 중이다. 

Professor Kang Ho Chul is an associate professor in the Department of Media Technology and Contents at The Catholic University of Korea. He worked at Samsung SDS, LG Electronics Institute of Technology, LG Electronics MC Research Center, SK C&C, and the National Cancer Center. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Seoul National University, and he was a researcher at the Seoul National University Institute of Computer Technology. He worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Electronics and Information Engineering at Korea University Sejong Campus and the Department of Computer Engineering at Sungkonghoe University. And He has worked in the Department of Media Technology and Contents at The Catholic University since 2019, where he is currently an associate professor. His research areas include 3D computer vision, image processing, medical image processing, machine learning/deep learning, and he is currently running the Computer Vision and Machine Intelligence Research Laboratory.

이민지 교수는 뇌파, 심전도, 기능성 자기공명영상 등 생체신호와 신경영상을 활용하여 의료 인공지능, 디지털 헬스케어, 뇌-컴퓨터 인터페이스 등을 위한 머신러닝/딥러닝 모델 개발을 주로 연구하고 있다. 2021년 고려대학교에서 생리적, 약리적, 병리적 조건에서의 설명 가능한 딥러닝 기반 의식 분리 연구로 박사학위를 받았으며, 이후 SK하이닉스에서 Data Scientist로 근무하였다. 2023년부터 가톨릭대학교에서 계산신경지능 연구실을 운영해 오고 있으며, 미국, 독일, 벨기에 등과 활발한 국제공동연구를 수행하고 있다. 

Professor Minji Lee is mainly researching the development of machine learning/deep learning models for medical artificial intelligence, digital healthcare, and brain-computer interfaces using biosignals and neuroimaging such as electroencephalogram, electrocardiogram, and functional magnetic resonance imaging. She received her doctorate in 2021 from Korea University for disentangling consciousness with explainable deep learning, and has been running a Computational NeuroIntelligence Lab. at The Catholic University of Korea since 2023. She is conducting active international collaborative research with the United States, Germany, and Belgium.
